Romance and sugar mama/daddy scammers

Romance scammers are (excuse the expression) a ballsy bunch. They start by telling you how beautiful you are and get insulting when you decline the advances. It usually escalates quickly. Sometimes I have the energy to play with them a little before shutting it down and others, not so much. I’ve shared screenshots of some exchanges on Twitter for funzies. Here’s one of the most recent ones:

See the model-like photos? His profile also includes pics with friends, kids, dogs, and what could be shots from the office. He started following me and I did not follow back. That apparently was not enough of a hint that I was not interested. He decided to drop into my DMs anyway.

This one dropped it after I made sure to include married in my response. Not all of them do. some ask for a What’s App number to continue the chat, others ask for pics (which is especially annoying when they approach me on Instagram).

Be careful, y’all. I’ll share full exchanges here sometime so you don’t necessarily need to see my Twitter ramblings (and puppy pic retweets). but if you do decide to check out my feed there or on Instagram, please feel free to say hi.

Until next time, be safe and take care.
